A tipper is a person who gives a gratuity to show appreciation for service, or someone who provides helpful information or a useful suggestion. In other contexts, a tipper can also refer to a vehicle designed to tilt and unload its contents. The common thread is the act of giving something extra: money, advice, or material, to benefit another person or complete a task.
